Local Commercials

Well this is a local commercial. It should sum up how much this place "rules". Its amazing when a bunch of mountain people try to be hip (as seen in this comerical).

There are trucks with Nazi Storm Trooper helmet stickers on them listening to nu metal or even once in a while rap. Meth heads, homeless people, transients and more hippies than I care to ever look at. Oh and there is apparently a town about 45 minutes west in the mountains where everyone is "related". So who wants to come visit?

Tell me who they stole the dance from and slowed it down. Anyone, anyone?

Tomorrow its Baltimore for a few days, next week its Phoenix for Thanksgiving. Then in December its home for Christmas and New Years. Cant wait fam.

This is my life where I live in a nutshell

Veterans Day

Happy Veterans Day, hug a Veteran, thank a Veteran, feed a Veteran, salute a Veteran. The sacrifices these people make whether or not you agree with them are big sacrifices. They are life changing sacrifices. They are sacrifices for a country that they believe in, for a country that we live in.

Appreciate the men and women of the armed forces. They make great sacrifices, ones that involve their family, their own life and for something they believe in.

Lately I have been doing a lot of thinking. When I do this pops into my head. I know wah wah wah blah blah. Not sure if what I am thinking is good or its bad. It just is I suppose.

My life just feels crazy. It feels like things are unraveling at a pretty quick pace, I feel like I am slipping a little, just kind of falling off. I feel out of touch with my friends, myself and my life. Its why I look forward to going home I suppose. Get that chance to reconnect. I guess maybe I just feel like I am 29 and working towards 30. Maybe its part of growing up.

Its just been chaos for a bit now. I figured upping and moving would be the best thing for me so I did, I moved 3,200 miles to do something different. But now I feel a different I didnt expect. Maybe its just the change in seasons, getting dark earlier, getting cooler.

I read an article the other day from The Cafferty File blog on CNN.Com. Its about the future of America. Its a rather grim out look and I am digging a little more to put validity to what I read. It stated that 75 percent of Americans between the age of 17 and 24 are unfit for military service. Thats rather staggering if you think about it. Thats 7 years of a generation where only 25 percent can fill those shoes there are a lot to fill (all branches is some where near 1 million or so I believe). Its for various reasons from lack of education, obesity, crime and a few other things. I have seen my share of people lacking real life skills, common sense or a somewhat decent education to get the grasp of life just inside of the Coast Guard, such a hard time grasping things infact they are usually discharged for incomptence.

The next fact in the article is about how 50 percent of amercian children will be on food stamps by the age of 20 and that 90 percent of African American children fall into that category. 90 percent, think about that. Its scary and devistating in many ways. It shows how harsh things are and can be.

Just something to think about. These are the things that make everything around us a bit weaker.

Its been a minute. Not much changed or going on. Just life as it is and as it has been. Just felt like I needed to put something here. Feeling a little home sick, ready to be home to see the b.f.f. and get some quality time.

Love you miss you fam.

I jumped on the Neti Pot train

Last week I was so stuffed up and decongestants werent working so I jumped on the Neti Pot band wagon. I have to admit, it kind of changed the way I look at things.

But obviously I looked better than this guy did. If you havent tried it yet, I suggest you do.
